Did you know that over 400 types of human papillomaviruses (HPVs) have been identified? Among these various types of HPVs, 12-15 are classified as high-risk HPVs, with properties that make them causative agents of a variety of cancers, notably cervical, vulvar, anal and penile cancer, and an increasing number of head and neck cancers. This lab is dedicated to studying the life cycle and pathogenesis of HPVs.
